Latest update pack for SQL Server 2000
In response to the vulnerabilities and security errors detected in SQL Server 2000, Microsoft offers its s SQL Server 2000 SP4, an incremental pack that gathers all the revisions from earlier Service Packs with new improvements.
Install new components for SQL Server 2000
SQL Server 2000 SP4 is made up by a collection of three files that include the updates for the following SQL Server 2000 components:
- Database components, updated by launching: SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-x86.EXE. Updates your 32-bit database components of SQL Server 2000 including Database Engine, Replication, Client Connectivity components, and Tools
- Analysis service components: for which purpose SQL2000.AS-KB884525-SP4-x86.EXE is used.
- SQL Server 2000 desktop engine components: updated by means of SQL2000.MSDE KB884525-SP4-x86.EXE.
Microsoft always advises its s to update their products, so if you use SQL Server 2000 and you haven't updated it, you have to SQL Server 2000 SP4.
